At the Stowe Food and Wine Festival, I wined and dined nearly to the point of explosion. It was my dream come true: wander, sample wine, make light conversation with chefs and enthusiasts, and stuff my face with braised meat and chocolate. My favorite dish:the braised beef from Boyden Farms prepared by Black River Produce with a wheatberry and honey sauce and ricotta gnocchi. My favorite beverage: Trapp Golden Helles Lager.
